A Taste of Jeyes's Charity Cookbook
The dozens of recipes in A Taste of Jeyes’s have all lovingly been created, cooked and shared by family, friends, local celebrities, award-winning chefs and Northamptonshire food and drink venues from across our county. Their enthusiasm for Jeyes’s Northamptonshire Sauce, willingness to get involved and produce delicious dishes for the book is inspiring and a great showcase of the spirit of our wonderful county. Each person has a tale and with that each recipe has a tale - this book is an opportunity for the people of Northamptonshire to share their passion for cooking, from small family favourites to exquisite dinner party favourites – A Taste of Jeyes’s has them all!
A Taste of Jeyes’s Cookbook is dedicated to two shining stars, Marie Taylor ‘Nan’ 1921-2013 & Jack Jeyes-Blackburn 2009 –2010.
Nan’s passion for family, business and Northamptonshire heritage was inspirational. Her dedication to preserve our family roots, exploring the past and recording for future generations has brought us to where we are today. For that we are eternally grateful and we too embrace her passion and commitment to our family business.
Jack Jeyes-Blackburn is our angel in the sky and forever in our hearts, he is glistening down with giggles, smiles and pride with our latest Jeyes family adventure.
We chose to share the proceeds of our cookbook with a charity very close to our hearts, The Children's Ward at Northampton General Hospital. On the 1st year anniversary of the cookbook we were thrilled to visit Northampton General Hospital and hand over a cheque £1,222 which will go towards a new play area for the children.
We love to hear how people use and enjoy the sauce so if you would like to share your recipes, tips or tales with us then please send to annajeyes@yahoo.com. If and when we produce a second edition of A Taste of Jeyes's then your recipe might just appear!
